Misaligned or obstructed photo eyes. Both LEDs should be solid; clean the lenses and re-aim until they are.
Usually a stripped drive gear or a broken trolley β or the emergency release was pulled. Re-engage the trolley by running the opener until it clicks back in.
A remote-only failure points to the wall-button wiring or a shorted terminal; a wall-only failure points to remote batteries or lost programming.
Close-force or travel limits set too tight, or a binding door. Never crank force up to mask a mechanical problem.
